Chorizo with seafood! a bright combination that will please
Chorizo [tariama čiorizo], a Spanish sausage flavored with red pepper powder, or nduja [tariasi en’dūja] Italian, usually much softer, easily spread on bread with paprika, often used in the Mediterranean region to add flavor and richness. And dishes with seafood – squid, cuttlefish, shrimp are no exception. The Spanish call such combinations el mar y la tierra (sea and land), the Catalans say mar y montaña – the sea and the mountain, and in English-speaking countries you will see the menu – surf and turf (surf – to swim, and turf is turf, a layer of grass with roots) – the idea is the same, something from the sea with something from the land. clams, cod and other fish dishes are prepared with chorizo, and I have already listed how to make hearty and really very tasty large ones shrimp dish, and now I’m sharing a squid with chorizo recipe.
I find this dish delicious and very casual. It’s quick and easy to make, so it’s perfect for an everyday lunch or dinner.
So, we will need
Tools: sharp knife, cutting board, containers for prepared ingredients, spatula for mixing, large non-stick frying pan.
Ingredients: olive oil, I use extra virgin; several scallions, peeled and cut lengthwise into four parts; several cloves of garlic, finely chopped; chorizo sausages, if the skin comes off, remove it, cut it into slices or cubes; peppers, any color is suitable; small cherry tomatoes, they need to be washed and dried, if you poke a small hole in each one or cut them in half, they will cook faster; squid If you use frozen ones, thaw them beforehand and dry them well with a paper towel, then cut them into thin rings. If you want a heartier meal, you can cut a few mashed potatoes (try accelerated cooking in the microwave, heat a small potato for two minutes, then turn it over and leave it for another couple of minutes).
